A gift only a Mother could love.
So last night, I tell ~K~ that for Mother's Day, wouldn't it be nice, if she brought me breakfast in bed.
She was quiet for a moment (and I could see the wheels turning in her mind trying to figure out how to get out of this one) and she said, "I wouldn't know what to fix for you."
"Oh, my favorite breakfast is easy," I replied, "two toasted waffles with a little butter and apple jelly and a cold Diet Dr. Pepper."
She heaved a big sigh. "Wake me up early."
So this morning, I gave myself a small Mother's Day gift and am letting her sleep late.
Happy Mother's Day to all you Mothers.
Update: My morning was spent in the waiting room of the emergency vet - our poor little dog has a nasty case of bronchitis. Go figure.
