Angular Chelitis
Y'all, for the past few months, I've had a bleeding crack in the corner of my mouth. It would scab over during the night and break open when I'd eat or talk. I don't know if it is indeed angular chelitis or something else. I do know that when looking for a treatment, most websites link back to a site that charges you for a "cure".
Surprisingly I did find something to help and am listing it here for free. I've tried numerous antibiotic ointments, creams, and balms, chapstick and carmex, none worked as well as this:
Wash the area thoroughly with soap and water. Liberally apply "BAG BALM" and rub it into the crack. I bought a can for about $9 at Walgreens. Whenever the area seemed to be drying out, I would put on more.
Within two days, it's healed shut. It has some flaky skin and the area is reddened but no more bleeding. I'm hoping that in another couple of days it will be completely gone. I'll update later but so far so good.
